On 8th Sep.1980 Bp.Clemens Thottungal CMI the first Bishop of Sagar instituted the pious union of ‘Sisters of Jesus’. The recruitment of candidates to the new congregation was done by Co-Founder Rev.Fr.Alex Ukken CMI. He recruited the first seven batches with the help of the Congregations of CMI, FCC and OSB. The first 9 members came from different Syro-Malabar dioceses of Kerala. On 14th Aug 1980 the first batch candidates reached at Vidisha, Sagar. The first nine batches were formed by the able guidance of the fathers of CMI Congregation and sisters from CMC, FCC, CSC and CHF Congregations till 1992. The first members committed themselves to a life of renunciation through religious promise in the pious union of Sisters of Jesus on 15th August 1983. I wish you the peace and joy of the risen Lord who commissioned every one of His followers “Go into all the world and proclaim the good news to the whole creation” (Mk 16:15). Digital media technology use has become a part of our everyday lives, filling substantial portion of the constructive minutes and hours of our days. It has greatly magnified the voice of those preaching the Gospel. Instead of reaching hundreds or even thousands, when preaching a sermon by a pastor or giving a testimony by a believer of Christ now has a possible audience in the millions by the use of advanced media. By the use of advanced media technology we are able to create website, blog post, face book, whatts app, twitter, TV, you Tube etc. through which we can share our faith, teach catechism, conduct dialogues, convey messages and also can do various methods of evangelization programmes.

Mission Statement
Sisters of Jesus is a missionary religious congregation founded by Bp. Clemens Thottungal CMI in the diocese of Sagar. Trusting in the providence of God and following the example of St. Therese of Lisieux, with the motto All for All, we strive to be faithful to our charism of personal and intimate love for Jesus and service to the poor in villages. Consecrating ourselves to God and His mission through the vows of chastity, poverty and obedience we participate in Jesus mission of compassionate love by creating contrast communities.

The Syro-Malabar Catholic Eparchy of Sagar
The Eparchy of Sagar starts from the Apostle St. Thomas. Bishop AD. Mattom quotes from an article in the Examiner of Bombay, Dec. 4. 1915. It reads: “In East Malwa-Bundelkand — on the boarders of Narmada, near Sagar, at Udaipur the first disciples of St. Thomas (Nadathagam Buddha) or the Apostle himself, built, according to tradition a temple to the Most High God, under the invocation of Bhagavadi Mary Reparatirix.
